The Bulgarian Education Minister Daniel Vulchev invited political analysts, economists and sociologists to take part in preparing the country's science strategy for the next 10 years.

Vulchev spoke on Tuesday, during a round-table discussion.

The project for Bulgaria's long-term science advancement strategy provides for more funds, participation in business ventures, priorities such as food and health, information technologies, renewable energy resources, culture heritage and traditions.

Economy expert Georgi Stoev commented that the strategy posed more questions than offering answers.

The project is going to be submitted for approval by the Ministries' Council.

Vulchev further proposed that employees of Bulgarian universities and science institutions be hired with temporary contracts, adding that the measure could be introduced by a change in the Labor Law.

Another proposal voiced by the Minister was dissolving teams of scientists, who were brought together to work on a project upon its completion, and assigning the scientists to other tasks.
