14 Ex-Officials of Sofia Municipal Real Estate Company Accused of Violations

Prosecution in Bulgaria have accused fourteen former officials of the municipal Sofiyski Imoti property company of causing losses to the firm amounting to BGN 2,007,946.

A defendant in the case is former chair of the Commission for analysis of the activities of all municipal companies, Stanimir Zashev, as well as former members of the board of directors in Sofiyski Imoti: Simeon Simeonov, Milen Minchev, Stoyan Yanev, Lyubomir Ivanov, Ina Krumova, Emilia Bakardzhieva, Toshko Dobrev, Petar Savov, Milena Vladimirova, Nikolay Daulov, Margaritka Nikolova, Svetoslav Simeonov, Detelina Milyova.

Prosecutors say that in the period 2003-2004 the municipal company let out buildings, apartments and spaces in the center of the city for prices considerably lower than the market's.
