Case against Rapist of 10 Bulgarian Children Drags on

Crime | November 28, 2008, Friday // 00:00

The District Court in Bulgaria's town of Pleven put off Friday the case against a 38-year-old man sued over raping ten children.

The judges decided to postpone the trial because the defendant Iliyan Ivanov declared he had not received a copy from the indictment papers.

Ivanov was arrested in the beginning of July over raping a 13-year-old girl five years ago.

In the process of investigation, the criminal confessed over nine other rapes he had committed.

The next hearing in the trial was scheduled for January 9 next year.
