People who live in Northern Europe are the happiest among the continent's inhabitants, while those from the Balkans are most unhappy, a poll focused on the way of life in different European countries reveals.

The poll was conducted by the European Union (EU) trough an agency with headquarters in Dublin. The poll's data shows that overall people in Europe are satisfied with their quality of life.

The Danes rank first as the happiest in Europe, followed by the Swedish, the Finish and the Norwegian.

Bulgarians are the least happy people on the old continent, surpassed only by Macedonians in their level of dissatisfaction.

The agency has polled over 35,000 people in the 27 countries members of the EU, in the candidate member countries - Croatia, Macedonia and Turkey as well as in Norway.

The poll was conducted from September 2007 to February 2008 - a period significantly preceding the current financial crisis.

On the average Europeans rank their quality of life as 7 on a scale from 1 to 10, while their happiness is ranked at 7,5.

On the same scale, the Danes estimate their happiness at 8,3 and their satisfaction at 8,5.

Bulgarians rank their happiness at 5,8 and their quality of life at 5.

"The differences in those rankings demonstrate significant fluctuations in the conditions and in the everyday life of Europeans from different countries with well-being in the former socialist countries varying on a large scale among different social groups. People with low income and the elderly tend to complain the most," the Director of the agency in charge of the research commented.

People from Northern Europe are the most optimistic with 75% of them giving optimistic answers compared to less than 50% in France, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Hungary.

According to the poll, Hungarians are the most pessimistic people in Europe.

Al,

Don't get too excited. That blond in the video is tall, thin and she has small tits. WW is a Bulgarian girl. She is a chunky brunette and her tits are big.

Uchak,

No, you are wrong. Leaving Germany for Bulgaria is the REAL luxury. Actually who can afford to cut his income by 50% and still have a great life?!

In Germany you are one of thousands, in BG you are a well paid specialist.

And now with the financial crisis hitting Export world champion Germany hard, I prefer it here. Still, Germany is one of the richest and best developed country, but for how long? Ok, US of A is declining even worse, soon there will be no "american" cars.

What is against Toyota and Honda? Toyota is the biggest carmaker in the world and Honda the biggest producer of motors. This is good quality, japonska rabota! My Ego don't need more car! I prefer to put my money in my apartment with sea view.

British Breakfast?! No Way JosГ©, it looks like already been eaten...

WW,

Just a friendly reminder of the sweet post Lotus sent you:

"As I mentioned, you just lack the capacity for compassion. You may be able to gain it, though it will be a process. No pity here. As usual, you DO THINK everything here is about you, ah? You must be a very desperate, lonely person because you love slamming everyone who doesn't agree with you, thus thinking you can scare people into backing you up on every point. You obviously have succeeded in making some of the participants your loyal b*tches. It isn't a big accomplishment really but you obviously need it for personal validation.

Maybe when you get off the self-centered trip you are on, you can view others in their own circumstances.

Again, hate to break the news: it really isn't about you, my dear witch. I do have to say, some of the posts I read by you show you support some of the worlds noblest ideas but you self-centeredness is an obvious limitation. Please, girl just get over it. You will be a happier person and your voice will matter."

BGREV

Not true. Bulgarians living abroad are more satisfied and happier than Bulgarians living in Bulgaria.

I concur with the result of the survey putting Danish people at the top of the list. I know Danish people in the US and they really are wonderful people. Party animals, great sense of humor, beutiful people. So are Germans - very similar to the Danish. They are good at life.

Do you ever tire of your 'Greets' diet, matey? Haven't I tried to introduce you to a breakfast featuring GRITS, Crystal sauce, eggs, and a bit of cucumber?

Taro my boy,

Don't be so modest and humble, dude. OK, your Bulgarian slut is not too bad, borderline attractive even. But driving a Toyota and a Honda? You know very well what cars mutri drive and what model quality women mutri date. Come on, now. Keep it real.

Taro - 20 Nov 2008 // 22:45:22

Because Foreigners in BG live the Mutri-Side of Life.

We drive the better cars, buy the nicer apartements and love the prettier women...

It's easy!!!

Just Me,

I just mentioned the indisputable truth, that's all!

Uchak is a sad case. Don't want to be nasty but if anybody on this forum is a true misogynist and a backward thinker (and I use the term 'thinker' way too loosely) then you cannot cast the stones of your mind anywhere else but unto Uchak.

Harsh? I don't give a fig! I shall have a go at anyone who talks such pure unadulterated cack about women in general!

Bulgarians living abroad (even those who have a successful career) also feel unhappy, whereas foreigners in Bulgaria (even those that are here by accident) also feel happy.

It's a congenital characteristic.

Uhm, who told you I went to Toledo or Akron?

Uchak, being advised by you on, well, anything is like going to a lecture on nuclear physics given by Joe the Plumber.
