BGN 3 B Allocated to Education from Bulgaria's Budget 2009

A total of BGN 3 B will be allocated to the education system in Bulgaria from the budget for the next year, Education Minister Daniel Valchev announced Tuesday.

"The money for education is never enough," the minister emphasized.

"We have to admit that in the recent few years there is enough money for leading some kind of policy," he added.

The official has also cited data that reveal the number of the children in Bulgaria, who do not study, has decreased in the past two years.

The statements were made during Minister Vachev's visit to the town of Stara Zagora. There he opened a national work session of representatives of the resource centers that are responsible for backing the integration education o f children with special education necessities.

Since 2006, the number of such institutions has raised 11 times.
