Ten people from the southern Bulgarian town of Kjustendil have been hospitalized after eating poisonous mushrooms.
Four men and a woman are currently in hospitals in the capital Sofia, where doctors are struggling to save their lives. The other five victims, among them two children, are in a hospital in Kjustendil as there is no danger for their lives.
There is no information yet about the kind of mushrooms the people consumed. According to witnesses, the victims picked the mushrooms in the nearby forests and a local gatherer told them they were edible.
