Four buses with Greek tourists arrived Saturday for a one-day tour in the southern Bulgarian city of Haskovo. Instead of concentrating on the tourist attractions, howeer, the Greek guests raided the local hypermarkets.
Greek citizens' shopping tourism trips to the city of Haskovo have become a regular occurrence in the recent months, haskovo.info reported.
The tourists from Greece shop primarily for food products. Saturday's groups left some of the shelves in the Haskovo hypermarkets completely empty.
Even though a year ago the shopping tourists in the region had been Bulgarians going to Greece, now the situation is seems to be reversed.
