A new parliamentary commission is to control the work of Bulgaria's State Agency for National Security, the MPs decided Wednesday.
Three of the body's members will be representatives of the ruling coalition and the other three - of the opposition.
The commission will be allowed to examine investigative materials, developed by the Security Agency, only if the MPs approve such actions.
Nadka Baleva from the Socialist Party is likely to chair the commission, reports claim.
A sub-commission with the newly established body is to follow the work of the National Investigation Service, the National Security Service and Military Information Service.
