On Sunday, November 2, one Bulgarian, Elenko Elenkov, is going to to participate in the annual ING New York City Marathon and will run along with the ING Team.

Elenko Elenkov is the Manager of the Online Research and Development Department at the Bulgarian Economedia publishing company and has been a marathon runner since 2003. He is also among the top 10 Bulgarian bloggers.

Elenkov's participation in this year's marathon is entirely at his own expense.

The ING New York City Marathon is one of the world's greatest running races, drawing more than 100,000 applicants each year. The race attracts many world-class professional athletes, not only for the more than USD 600,000 in prize money, but also for the chance to excel in the media capital of the world before two million cheering spectators and 315 million worldwide television viewers. As any one of the more than 700,000 past participants will attest, crossing the finish line in Central Park is one of the great thrills of a lifetime. This year over 40,000 athletes will run through the vibrant city. The ING team includes over 1,000 runners.
