"Vorskla Steel", the company of the Ukrainian tycoon Konstantin Zhevago is still interested in purchasing the steel mill "Kremikovtzi", according to the company's' Executive Director for Bulgaria Victor Demyanyuk.

Demyanyuk stated that "Vorskla Steel" main "competitors" have been the mill's poor management and the leader of the Confederation of the Independent Trade Unions at "Kremikovtzi" - Vasil Yanachkov.

Demyanyuk was adamant that part of the mill's management stood behind the scenario of putting the mill's production on hold and that those were the people interested in "Vorskla Steel" withdrawal from "Kremikovtzi".

Demyanyuk further pointed out that the main reason for the annulment of the contract between his company and the mill for production with raw materials supplied by the Ukrainian business was the fact that the company opposed the stopping of the mill's production. The Executive Director added that "Kremikovtzi" owed his company BGN 11,7 M as advanced payment or 43,000 tons of production, in addition to the BGN 22 M provided by "Vorskla Steel" for workers' salaries.

According to Demyanyuk, he was going to notify respective institutions and would provide all documents to prove "Vorskla Steel" claims.
