Bulgaria's Red Cross organization opened Saturday a storehouse for emergency situations in the village of Pobeda.

It is the fourth such a facility in the country as the other three are located in the cities of Sofia, Burgas and Russe.

The Red Croos has invested about BGN 800,000 in the storehouse's construction on an area of four decares.

One of the premises is for storage of food as it could be used as a field hospital if necessary.

Rescue equipment, tents, camp-beds and mattresses are kept in the other hall of the facility.

The complex has also two training rooms and a food bank to be used for charity campaigns of the Red Cross organization.

The provisions in the warehouse could help a total of 3,000 citizens in case of emergency.
