Former Credit Suisse broker Julian Tzolov was in F.B.I. custody on September 4, after he was arrested at New York's JFK Airport.
A US judge has asked Friday the indicted former employee of "Credit Suisse" to repay the USD 2 M, which he sent to Bulgaria while he was being investigated for possible fraud, according to an article published in the US "Post Chronicle."
The 35-year-old Julian Tzolov - a Bulgarian native and citizen, is a former broker of Credit Suisse, who, along with a former colleague - Eric Butler, is investigated for fraud in auction-rate securities deals.
The Judge Jack Weinstein in U.S. District Court in Brooklyn also tentatively scheduled April 27 next year for the start of the trial of the two brokers, who were indicted on September 3, 2008.
Credit Suisse announced that both brokers resigned in September 2007 after the firm suspended them for "prohibited activity."
Butler and Tzolov pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges and were released on bail.
According to the conditions of the bail, Tzolov is restricted to his Manhattan apartment and he is mandated to wear an electronic tracking anklet.
