Bulgaria Ireland, Indonesia Ambassadors Visit 7000-Year-Old Homes in Bulgaria??™s Telish: Ireland, Indonesia Ambassadors Visit 7000-Year-Old Homes in Bulgaria's Telish Indonesia's Ambassador to Sofia Immanuel Inkiriwang (middle) and his Ireland counterpart Geoffrey Keating visited the reconstructed homes of the uunnamed prehistoric civilization, which lived close to Bulgaria's Telish 7 000 years ago.

The Ambassadors of Indonesia Immanuel Inkiriwang and of Ireland Geoffrey Keating visited Friday the reconstructed models of 7000-year-old rammed earth homes in Telish, Pleven District.

Their Excellencies paid a visit to the unique open museum located in the yard of the "Razvitie" Cultural Community Club, which contains three fully reconstructed buildings modeled after the findings at a nearby archaeological site.

The open museum includes not only the reconstructed homes of the unnamed prehistoric civilization, which populated today's central north Bulgaria, but also samples of their craft and art works.

Their Excellencies were given a tour around the museum by Ventzislav Gergov, the archaeologist who unearthed most of the 7000-year-old findings at Telish.

Indonesia and Ireland's Ambassadors to Sofia made a stop in Telish on their way to the municipal town of Cherven Bryag, which they visited for its annual three-day fair.

The Cherven Bryag Municipality is located 120 km northeast of Bulgaria's capital Sofia. It has a population of 36 000, of which 17 000 live in the town of Cherven Bryag itself.
