One Dead, 60 Injured in UK Bus Crash

One man was killed and more than 60 people injured after a bus crashed near Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire, England, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

The incident happened at around 5:55 p.m. local time on Monday when a coach was involved in a collision with another vehicle before leaving the road, traveling down an embankment and rolling on to its side.

Two of those hurt are in critical condition. Both were airlifted to hospitals in Birmingham and North Staffordshire.

Other injured people were treated at local hospitals or at a medical center set up at Alton Towers, authorities reported.
