A hired Bulgarian killer had executed the Serbian drug dealer Sasha Stoykovic, according to the Belgrade newspaper "Vecernje Novosti', citing sources from the murder investigation.
The murder had happened on July 13, at a pool in the Serbian town of Zaichar.
According to private sources, the killing has been ordered by Bulgarian drug bosses wishing to expand their activity in Serbia.
The killer had managed to escape back to Bulgaria using the unmonitored roads between the border villages of Salash and Novo Korito.
A new Serbian-Bulgarian border checkpoint is planned to be built in the area in 2009.
