Bulgarian milk producers across the country are blocking main roads on Wednesday, protesting against the government's policy in the sector and unpaid subsidies.

Rallies will be staged in the towns of Silistra, Veliko Tarnovo, Kazanlak, Karlovo, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Petrich, and Sandanski. Chair of the National Association of Milk Producers, Adrian Tsakonski, reported.

Farmers from the region of Vratza said they are to grill four calves, as Bulgarians usually start eating and drinking when their condition is desperate.

The protesters also said they are to send the calves' heads to the leaders of the three-way ruling coalition, who "destroyed the animal breeding sector in Bulgaria."
