Tishman International and General Electric (GE) Real Estate have selected the leading international company CO-VER Holding S.R.L. to be the main executer of the project for the construction of Sofia Airport Center, Bulgaria's newest and most modern business and logistics park.

CO-VER Holding is headquartered in the city of Verbania, Italy, is a leading global company with profound expertise in the construction field.

Chair of Tishman International Companies Alan Levy commented that the CO-VER was selected to construct the Sofia Airport Center after a complex procedure, because the project was planned in accordance with the highest standards in the USA and Western Europe, and as such it required a well-qualified executer.

The Sofia Airport Center is located 300 m away from the new Sofia airport, which has a capacity of 2,6 million passengers per year.

It will be a green business center using environment-friendly materials, and as such it is going to receive certificate for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) of the US Green Building Council.

After its completion, the Center will provide 180 000 square meters of logistics and commercial space in seven five-storey buildings.

The Loss Angeles-based Tishman International Companies and GE Real Estate created a joint company for the construction of the Sofia Airport Center in the fall of 2007.

Tishman's list of clients and partners includes Metropolitan Life, New York Life, Teachers Insurance, Bank of America, Grosvenor International, Citibank, American Express, Fidelity Investments, Lend Lease, HVB Real Estate.

GE Real Estate is present in 28 countries in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and has assets worth USD 62 B.
