Defender Philipp Lahm's late strike qualified Germany for Sunday's Euro 2008 final and sealed a 3-2 win to knock out Turkey.

"We showed our winners' mentality. After 2-2 we knew that they can score late and it speaks for our will and character," Germany coach Joachim Loew said.

Ugor Boral had given Turkey a deserved lead in the 22nd minute but Bastian Schweinsteiger equalized four minutes later.

Although the Turks dominated in periods of the game, Miroslav Klose seemed to have closed out the match for Germany in the 79th scoring for 2-1 but Semih Senturk kept Turkey in the game with an 86th-minute equalizer.

The Turkish fans did not have much time to celebrate though, as Lahm cut in from left, set up a one-two with Thomas Hitzlsperger and shot the ball into the net of Rustu Recber in the 90th minute.

Now, three-times European champions Germany will play either Spain or Russia in Sunday's final in Vienna.
