12% of Bulgaria's Transport Min Employees to Be Kicked off

Politics | June 19, 2008, Thursday // 00:00

A total of 12 per cent of the employees, who are now working in Bulgaria's Transport Ministry, should be dismissed as the institution's budget is not enough for paying the monthly salaries of all of them, Minister Petar Mutafchiev announced Thursday.

"The dismissals have already been planned and will be completed in three stages," he added.

The State Administration Minister Nikolay Vassilev said two weeks ago the same changes were to be made also in the institution he heads.

"If we do not discharge 12 % of our servants, the administration system will run out of money since November," he then explained.
