Bulgaria Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev opens the Harvard Business Forum in New York Monday as part of the agenda for the Bulgarian delegation's official visit to the US.

About 150 US business representatives are expected to take part in the Forum.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin is presenting the economic perspectives in Bulgaria and the Region focusing on the general political and economic climate and investment possibilities in the country.

The Economy and Energy Minister Petar Dimitrov will also have a presentation about the investment climate in Bulgaria.

Later Monday the Bulgarian Delegation lead by PM Stanishev will travel to Philadelphia where they will tour historical sites, including "Independence Hall" - the location where the US "Declaration of Independence" has been signed.

Among the topics to be discussed between US and Bulgarian authorities are the visa regime and the elimination of US visas for Bulgarian citizens. It is expected that both groups would sign a joint agreement to later lead, under conditions, which must be met by Bulgaria, to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. The Memorandum will make Bulgaria part of the program for abolishing US visas.

Other important topics include US military bases in Bulgaria, Bulgarian military contingent in Iraq and attracting more and large US investments in Bulgaria.

It is expected that PM Stanishev would meet US President George W. Bush Wednesday.
