A delegation of clergymen brought late on Saturday night the Holy Fire from Jerusalem to Bulgaria.

The fire was taken to the St. Alexander Nevksi Cathedral in a huge procession. The fire was delivered to all churches in the country before the beginning of the night vigil before Easter.

People call this fire "blessed" as the Bible says it was sent from God. It starts its trip from the church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

The Holy Fire is considered by many to be the longest-attested annual miracle in the Christian world. It is believed to be non-material in the first few minutes of its occurrence - i.e. it does not emit warmth.

The transfer of the Holy Fire from Jerusalem to Bulgaria took place for the fourth consecutive year.
