Blast Rocks Residential Building in Bulgaria's Burgas

Crime | April 25, 2008, Friday // 00:00

A bomb exploded Thursday night in a residential building in Bulgaria's coastal city of Burgas, breaking most of the glasses and doors in the entrance, where the explosion took place.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Police authorities' check established one of the flats in the building is owned by Kristiyan Kodzhukliev, who is close to the notorious drug boss Dimitar Zhelyazkov, aka Mityo Ochite.

Officers assume the aim of the attack was to frighten Kodzhukliev.

His name appeared in the crime news two years ago when he was accused of imposing severe fines to caravans' owners, who used a camping site in the seaside town of Sozopol, managed by him.

Investigation of the case has been immediately launched.
