Grammy-winning singer Toni Braxton has been hospitalized in Las Vegas after she complained of chest pains, people.com reported Wednesday.

The world famous music star is in "good condition", says a spokeswoman for a hotel-casino where the singer has been performing before being taken to hospital.

She has been headlining her live show "Toni Braxton: Revealed" five days a week at the Flamingo Casino since 2006.

The artist has spoken in public about her heart condition, pericarditis, an inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart.

"I found out about five or four years ago. I've also been diagnosed with hypertension," the singer announced in February.
This year, Braxton became a spokesperson for the American Heart Association.

"We wish Toni a quick recovery and would like her to take the time she needs to regain optimal health and are looking forward to her return at the end of the week," said president of Flamingo Las Vegas.
