Court rejected the appeal of the brother of the alleged drug boss Anton Miltenov, aka Klyuna (the Beak), who stabbed three people in a mass fight in Sofia pub ten days ago.

The defense lawyer of Kamen Miltenov insisted that the man was provoked and acted in self-defense.

The law provides for at least ten years in prison for such crimes.

The incident happened in the night of March 15 when the defendant along with a couple of friends started to fight with the owner of the pub on Pushkin street, who refused to serve him.

Customers joined the brawl and Miltenov took out a knife and stabbed three people, police said.

Doctors reported that a 27-year-old man, who was stabbed in the stomach, is in critical condition, while the lives of the two other victims are out of danger.

According to authorities, Kamen Miltenov has a long criminal record of robberies. His brother was said to be a key figure in drug trafficking in Bulgaria and was shot dead along with his two bodyguards in 2005.
