Bulgaria's parliament decided Thursday to establish a temporary commission that is to investigate the reasons behind the recent deadly train fire that claimed nine lives.
The parliamentary commission is also to research the legislation regarding train security in order to find eventual faults that may lead to future accidents.
The rightist opposition parties declared they will take part in the commission's work but said they strongly disagree with the proportional representation of the parliamentary parties, proposed by the ruling socialists.
Nine people were charred to death and nine more were injured after two cars of the night train going from Sofia to the northeastern town of Kardam burst into flames minutes after midnight on February 29.
