Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan posed for the New York magazine, recreating Marylin Monroe's legendary last nude photo shoot.

Lohan posed on February 5 at the Hotel Bel-Air, as photographer was veteran lensman Bert Stern, who had photographed Monroe in her last session in 1962, people.com reported.

When it came to being nude before the camera, "I was comfortable with it," Lohan told reporters.

The actress did not avoid parallels between Monroe's tragic fate - dead from an accidental overdose of prescription medicines - and the recent dead of actor Heath Ledger.

"They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone," Lohan commented.

In October, the actress left rehab after over a month spent in a centre in Utah and completing her course to get clean.
