Bulgaria's striker Valeri Bozhinov marked his return from injury with a goal in Manchester City's 1-1 draw against the Newcastle reserves.
Bozhinov, who has been out of the field for six months after suffering a knee ligament injury against Manchester United in August, showed some great play at St.James's Park and scored for Man City in the 79th minute.
The ball went into the net after Emile Mpenza picked out Bozhinov, who was ruthless striking from the penalty area.
Minutes later, the top striker missed to score a second goal.
"I am happy about my comeback and I will train hard and do my best to prove my qualities in Manchester City," Bozhinov commented after the match.
The promising 21-year-old player signed a four-year deal with the team for around GBP 6 M in August, following in the footsteps of winger Martin Petrov, who had signed with the Manchester outfit in July.
