The popular roommate from Big Brother reality show in Bulgaria, Stefan Kemalov,is one of the five people, arrested late on Friday over forging vignette tickets, identity cards, driving licenses and diplomas.
The members of the criminal ring - two women and three men - have been detained at a police raid in Bulgaria's region of Kazanlak.
The arrestees performed their criminal activities in a private garage of a house, owned by one of them.
The police operation run at two stages. During the first one the officers arrested four of those involved and the fifth accomplice was detained later after the authorities found forget vignettes in his office.
Just after the police officers stormed the first house searched, one of the culprits tried to throw some of the forged documents into a burning fireplace.
Stoyan Pashov, who also took part in the criminal organization, has a criminal record, authorities reported.
Kemalov and Pashov have been detained for 24 hours in a local police station. Legal procedures have been launched on the case.
The ex-Big Brother roommate of Roma origin made several attempts to enter the political life in Bulgaria after leaving the famous TV house. He was a member of the centrist party NMSP, to Free Bulgaria formation as well as to Euroroma.
