Actor Malin Krastev was born on April 23, 1970 in Sofia. He graduated from the National Academy of Film and Theatre Art. In 1995, Krastev starts working in the Youth Theatre in the capital city to play there his best roles so far. He received the most prestigious award for theatre art Askeer for his role as a dog in the staging "Lazaritsa", directed by Krikor Azaryan.

Malin Krastev took part in numerous Bulgarian and foreign movies, including "East-West" of the French director RГ©gis Wargnier. He is currently hosting the popular TV show "Masters of the Air", which deals with the blunders Bulgarian reporters make.

Q: Let's start with defining the word "harmony".

A: I long for harmony! There is only disharmony around me, I have a lot of work to do. But I have chosen this job and I am happy about it.

Q: Why don't you manage to achieve this harmony?

A: I need more time to spend with my son Boris. He is at first grade and has hi own problems, dreams and hopes and I am far away from all that. I think my harmony should be in unison with his harmony.

Q: The next word you should comment is "the others".

A: I prefer to say "my people" instead of "the others". I go on the stage every evening and "the others' enter into a contract with me after paying five or six leva and I try to understand them, to make them talk about Chekhov or Shakespeare with me.

Q: You try to make them "your people"...

A: Yes, I want to attract them to what I tell every night. But I afraid I do not achieve it. I do not know what happens in our country. I would like "the others" become "the citizens", especially after Bulgaria joined the European family. We are living in an absurd situation now.

Q: And how about the word "sit"?

A: I cannot sit. The only place where I like to sit is my car. I take a good rest while I am driving. I like to drive alone and just listen to music. My thoughts are passing through my head along with the long road...

Q: The next word I chose is "joke".

A: I know a great joke although I am not sure how appropriate it would be to tell it now. But still... People from a small village gathered to discuss some important issues. One of them stood up and said: "I suggest that we should work on Friday with being paid for that. We can repair the kindergarten with the money we save." A minute later another man stood up and added: "I suggest that we should work for free on Saturday as well so that we could build a pigsty with the money we save." Then, one of the fellow-villagers could not refrain and retorted on the previous two speakers: "I suggest that we should work with having a rest at all. That way we would not return home, you would not have time to sleep with our women and such idiots like you two would not be born."

Q: And what do you think of when you hear the word "road"?

A: It is everything for me, everything is a long road.

Q: Which road attracts you?

A: The road to the unknown. All the rest is a habit. I hate the road to fame as it leads to creators' death. It is the most dangerous thing for an actor. And the road to the unknown, the way to development of our role is my favourite as that's how the role becomes a part of you.

Q: The last word we are to discuss is "a wallet".

A: I have a wallet for one year now after my wife presented it to me. Earlier, I just stuck money in all my pockets and I even did not know how much I had. My spouse, however, scored an own goal after buying such a gift for me as I started noticing how much money miss from my wallet.

Q: How important the money is?

A: It is not important at all.

Q: Who is going to believe you when saying that?

A: Money helps you subsist, keep some living standard. But I do not only look for money. The process of completing the things you do is important for me.
