Bulgaria's private national Darik Radio celebrates its 15th birthday with a special festive programme and many surprises for its audience on Monday.
The celebrations in the popular media go under the motto "We are airing history."
Popular political figures took the role of hosts, having their own shows on Darik's birthday.
Listeners heard Bulgaria's Finance Minister Plamen Oresharski, Interior Minister Rumen Petkov, Education Minister Daniel Valchev, and Cuture Minister Stefan Danailov on air, interviewing guests and reading the news.
Foreign minister Ivaylo Kalfin will interview top football player Dimitar Berbatov later in the day and more prominent sportsmen, artists and singers are expected in the radio.
Darik is enjoying an ever-growing influence and currently has the highest ratings on the market, the media announced just days before the anniversary.
The company also manages Bulgaria's leading online Bulgarian language media Darik News (http://www.darik.net ), which merged in the middle of September 2006 with Novinite.com, the biggest English language news provider in Bulgaria.
