More Flights Cancelled at Sofia Airport

Business | December 29, 2007, Saturday // 00:00

Several flights to and from the Sofia airport were cancelled on Thursday by airlines, although weather conditions over the Bulgarian capital are clear.

Bulgaria Air flights from Varna, Brussels and Skopje, as well as Malev's flight from Budapest and Austrian Airlines' flight from Vienna, MyAir's flight from Bari and Tarom's flight from Bucharest have all been cancelled.

In several cases that has affected departures as well, with flights to Vienna, Budapest and Bucharest likewise cancelled.

Unlike earlier in the week, when dozens of flights were grounded due to fog blanketing Sofia, this time the cancellations were carried out by the airlines themselves.
