A total of 990 people were killed in 7,873 car crashes that occurred since the beginning of the year on roads in Bulgaria, according to the data of the country's Interior Ministry.

The number of those, who suffered injuries in the hits, is 963.

No victims were claimed in all 20 hellish accidents in the previous day but 43 passengers have been hurt.

In capital Sofia, the number of traffic accidents during the same period was 163, including two major crashes, which left three people injured.
