Bulgaria's "just" justice system failed in yet another attempt to conceal a cold-blooded crime just because it has been committed by a Themis servant.

The case that shook the public concerns an elderly man, who was run over by a drunk judge in the town of Pernik. What is most intriguing it came to light a whole week after it occurred.

It has been proven the magistrate Violeta Licheva was driving under the influence of alcohol but blood tests, conducted in her town and those made in the capital city of Sofia, showed different figures - 3,08 and 5,98 permilles respectively. That appears to be one more circumstance that rises some questions, doesn't it?

Realizing what she had done, the judge decided to signal the police on her own. But her will was not strong enough to help her confessing she was the culprit for the monstrous act. Then Licheva said she just noticed the dead body on the ground. But investigation proved there were signs of blood and brain on the tyres of her car.

Unconfirmed reports claim several other vehicles run over the victim lying on the road, completing the horrible picture of his smashed body. Why? Because the judge had not stopped to try helping the man she probably killed.

Otherwise, authorities issue daily reports on the number of the road carnage victims. I am sure the 61-year-old Jordan Velev was not among the people reported dead that night. It simple - his killer is not a person, who could be included in such a black list. After all she is a representative of an institution, which is supposed not to allow that list's existence. Or at least they should shorten instead of adding to it...
