Sofia police report of huge traffic jams caused by crashes and repair works clogging the city on Saturday.
A heavy chain crash early in the day has blocked Sofia's busiest thoroughfare Tsarigradsko Shosse as well as one of the biggest junctures in the capital - Eagles Bridge (Orlov Most).
The other main city arteries Bulgaria and Evlogi Georgiev boulevards are also clogged, police say.
The public transport buses, trams and trolley buses are behind their schedule, forcing people to wait for 30 - 40 minutes at the stops.
As a big part of Sofia ring road is closed for repairs, most of the traffic goes through the city center paralyzing the capital even at weekends.
