Ford Mustang by Giugiaro Scratches Rims on Sofia Streets

Top designer Fabrizio Giugiaro scratched the rims of his unique concept Mustang on the streets of Sofia after the car was shown at an exhibition of luxury brands.
The styling director of Italdesign-Giugiaro Spa presented the concept supercars Aston Martin Twenty Twenty and Ford Mustang by Giugiaro at the Lux Only exhibition that started Thursday in Inter Expo Center.
On Friday Giugiaro took the Mustang for a ride to meet Sofia mayor Boyko Borisov but scratched the rims of the supercar against a concrete sidewalk, attempting to park in a narrow street of the capital.
The one of a kind Mustang came to Bulgaria after it was presented at the auto show in Los Angeles last week.
The car has a 4.6 liter V8 engine and produces over 500 HP. The design is a typical Giugiaro splendour with a single piece of glass forming the windshield and roof, flowing into the trunk lid.
Before Giugiaro scratched the rims of the Mustang, visitors at the exhibition claimed that words simply fail to describe the interpretation of the world-class coachbuilder.
The portfolio of senior Giugiaro includes concepts and designs for nearly every automaker in the world - from Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Volkswagen to Mazda, Lotus and Bugatti.
A top attraction at the Lux Only exhibition was the Ferrari, in which Schumacher won Formula 1 cup in 2000.
