Hospital in Bulgaria's Mezdra Robbed

Crime | November 22, 2007, Thursday // 00:00

Unidentified men have robbed the hospital in Bulgaria's town of Mezdra in the dark hours of Thursday, stealing a total of BGN 1,900 and many phone cards.

The robbers were spotted by the cleaner. She informed the doctor on duty, who signalled the police.

An inquest on the spot showed the robbers came into the hospital through a side entrance, broke the lock of the pay room and opened the metal fire-proved safe with a duplicate key.

The case is still under investigation.
