Dozes of Bulgarians have been blocked at Fiumicino Airport in Rome after a strike of the airport workers suspended their flight to Sofia.

The flight of low-cost Wizz Air was scheduled to depart at 3 pm and many passengers said it was only in the last minute that they were informed about the delay.

Local media reports say that the company suggested to the disgruntled passengers to board the flight on Monday, provided that there are free seats, and offered them a one-off compensation of EUR 70.
