3 Firms Bid to Supply Virus Protection Software to Bulgaria's Administration

A total of three bidders have submitted their documents to participate in an open procedure of Bulgaria's State Administration Ministry for signing a framework agreement on the delivery of software licences for anti-virus protection of PCs and computer networks.
The three bidders are Paraflow Communications Ltd., which were the company that implemented the Bulgarian Academic Network, Nemetschek Bulgaria, a subsidiary of the European software giant Nemetschek AG and Computel Ltd, one of the fastest developing system integrators on the country's market.
The public procurement tender is for the delivery, implementation and a 3-year support of software solutions for virus protection, spam, adware, phishing, scareware, spyware, potentially dangerous applications and protection from any malicious attacks via the Internet or the local area network by a personal firewall.
The e-mail through the mail gateway should also include spam and virus protection.
One of the obligatory requirements is for the software solutions to be operable through a shared administration console and to operate through a single service agent of the workstations.
The first order on the framework agreement will be for the protection of 1,500 servers and 20,000 workstations and e-mail addresses.
The main users of the software will be the local and municipal administrations around the country.
