Bulgaria: Bulgaria's State Administration Ministry Cuts Down on Vacancies

Bulgaria's State Administration Ministry will cut down 12% of the state administration. This is what the new state operating program "Administrative capacity" for 2007-2013 provides for.

The envisioned 12% cut will include mainly vacancies on the pay-roll, State Administration Minister Nikolay Vassilev said.

Experts from the ministry held on Wednesday an information day on the Administrative capacity program on the Sheraton Hotel in Sofia. The experts explained the apply mechanisms on the open procedure on contracting of project proposals on the program on the topic "Development of the structures of the civil society - effectiveness and professionalism for reaching partnership with the administration and the judicial system'.

The procedure is in the framework of Priority Operating Program II "Managing on human resources".

All NGO's and trade unions may be beneficiaries on the program. The projects, which will be eligible to receive funding, should include development of strategies, analyses, creation and updating of info resources, organizing of round tables and conferences, training, creation of cooperation networks, etc.

The Administrative capacity program is among the first that got the approval of the European Commission.

Bulgaria's State Administration Ministry Cuts Down on Vacancies
Yeah, those vacancies will be for the Fraud Prevention Officers that the EU asked to be in place. We don't need them, this is Bulgaria where everything is transparent and fully legal! Why not just not bother filling those posts, and save 12% more to be stolen?
