Bulgaria Bans Alcohol Sales on Local Vote Day

From 10 pm on October 27 to 8 pm on October 28 the sale of alcohol throughout the country is banned due to the Sunday local elections in Bulgaria.

The ban does not include the wholesale of beer and spirits and in the bars and restaurants, where weddings, christenings, funerals and other happy or sad occasions are marked.

Police warned that on the day of the elections and a day earlier, dedicated to contemplation, rallies, marches, meetings, canvassing and other events are forbidden.
