Bulgaria's State Tourism Agency will exhibit one of the country's world-famous gold treasures dating back to Thracian times in Brussels on Monday next week.

The tourism agency will use the awarding ceremony of MEPs for their contribution to the outgoing political year to show an exact replica of the Panagyurishte gold treasure.

The exhibition will reveal the virtuosity of ancient goldsmiths, who have reached the pinnacle of arts. The artefacts - witnesses to a particularly brilliant civilization - impress with their decorative richness.

The Panagyurishte Treasure collection consists of nine solid gold vessels with a total weight of 6.100 kg. It was discovered in 1949 near the town of Panagyurishte.

The chairwoman of the agency, Anelia Krushkova will take part in the awarding ceremony on Monday evening. She will hand the award for biggest contribution in the area of culture and preserving the cultural heritage.
