Bulgaria's parliament created Thursday a temporary commission that will have to ascertain whether there is enough evidence against the MEP from the nationalist Ataka party Borislav Noev so that he could be stripped of his immunity.
Country's Chief Prosecutor Boris Velchev asked for an investigation in the Noev case because earlier in the year Noev was caught driving under the influence and had 1.2 permilles of blood alcohol. The legal limit in Bulgaria is 0.5 permilles.
The commission is given a month to investigate, gather evidence and announce its decision.
