Revenues from Foreign Tourists Visits to Bulgaria up by 16% in H1

The revenues in Bulgaria coming from the visits of foreign tourists in the country have increased with 16.04% in the first half of 2007 compared with the same period last year, the National Tourist Agency said Sunday.

The revenues for the first six months from foreign tourists visits are EUR 1347,4 M, according to preliminary data. The number of tourists visiting Bulgaria from January to August has risen with 6.88%.

Bulgaria was visited by a total of 3,972,02o tourists for the same period. One third of the tourists came from other European Union member states.
