EU Consumer Protection Commissioner, Bulgaria's Meglena Kuneva, said the users educate the market and business as a whole at a Tuesday press conference in Sofia.
"We all earn our money very hard and want to spend it only for buying goods of high quality," the commissioner explained.
Kuneva said also that all the money allocated to implementing consumer protection policy will be brought back to the country's economy soon.
"It is expected that China will present its report over measures taken for guarantying its goods' quality until the end of the year," Kuneva added.
Kuneva has also commented on the lawsuit that the EC won against US software giant Microsoft.
"Winning the case against Microsoft is really good news for the consumers," the commissioner said.
Microsoft has lost its appeal against a record EUR 497 M fine imposed by the European Commission in a dispute over freezing out rivals in server software.
Meglena Kuneva is on a two-day visit to Bulgaria. Her program included also meetings with EU Affairs Minister Gergana Grancharova and her Economy counterpart Petar Dimitrov.
