The Wednesday talks between the Bulgarian Education Ministry and the teacher's syndicate turned fruitless again after four long hours of elaborate discussion on the teachers' wage hikes.

The two parties will resume the talks next week. Meanwhile the teachers refused to step back from their decision to go on effective strike if their demands for higher salaries are not satisfied.

More than 85% of the Bulgarian schools are ready to join the strike, according to data of the teachers' syndicate.
