Sofia City Court released on BGN 1,000 bail on Friday the two Roma formally charged with inciting the revolt in Krasna Polyana district two weeks ago.
It is unlikely that the three commit another crime and hide, the court ruled.
The third defendant was previously released on BGN 300 bail. The fourth boy, Ivan Tzankov, who is underage was assigned a inspector from the juvenile delinquency directorate if the Interior Ministry to supervise him.
Dimitar Valchev, one of the lawyers of the defence claimed before court that the four arrestees were hostages of political games and interests. The Krasna Polyana incident would have been perceived as just another brawl if it weren't for several politicians' statements in the media, according to Valchev.
Police and gendarmerie have been guarding for several days the turbulent neighbourhood to prevent tensions from escalating after a huge mob of Roma gathered there late on August 13.
At least 200 Roma, including children under ten, carrying axes, cudgels, pitchforks and stones, tried to retaliate against a group of skinheads, who injured a Roma teenager on Sunday.
With policemen afraid to intervene so as not to be accused of using excessive violence and watching from afar, the mob set fire to garbage bins and chanted "Death to Bulgarians."
Roma witnesses claimed it was retaliation for a clash the previous night, when 30 skinheads reportedly attacked three Roma teenagers, one of whom was badly beaten.
