Ivan Suvanjieff, rock singer, painter, peace-pusher and son of a Bulgarian immigrant, has been nominated for the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize.

Suvanjieff and his partner, Dawn Engle, have been running for eleven years already PeaceJam, an educational foundation that brings Nobel Peace Prize winners together with kids around the globe. The foundation's work has been so impressive that

Six Nobel laureates found their work worthy of a Noble prize, nominating Suvanjieff, Engle and PeaceJam to receive the prize.

Nobel nominations came from Mairead Corrigan-Maguire, Adolfo PГ©rez Esquivel, JosГ© Ramos-Horta, Betty Williams, Rigoberta MenchГє Tum and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
