Bulgaria needs improved policy on waters and strong political will for coping such a great challenge, Sofia mayor's party GERB said Wednesday in an official statement.

People in many Bulgarian towns and cities suffers because of the really bad government of the country on the part of the three-way ruling coalition, the statement reads.

The officials from GERB called on the Prosecutor's Office for indicting the irresponsible officials at all levels over their "incompetence, negligence and financial embezzlements that caused the tragedy all across the country in the last several days."

The development of the water system in Bulgaria should be among the priorities in the next government's platform as the current one does not manage to achieve this goal, the formation's statement ends.
