The flood death toll in Bulgaria's town of Tsar Kaloyan has risen to five after the emergency crews found the body of one more person on Tuesday.

A total of four are still missing after the town was flooded by the torrential rains that poured over it late on Monday.

Dozens of houses have been destroyed and many cars were carried away in gullies near the town.

The people, whose homes were pulled down, have been sheltered in the local school building.

The regional committee for emergencies and disasters has already declared state of emergency.

Few days ago the local authorities declared state of emergency over the drought that destroyed great amount of the crops in the town of Tsar Kaloyan.
