Flooded Distributor Units Leave Downtown Sofia without Electricity

Politics | August 6, 2007, Monday // 00:00

Several distributor units were flooded Monday after the heavy rains that have been pouring over Sofia, leaving central part of the city without electricity.

The failure was caused by a broken lead in one of the subunits in the region of the Central Post.

Emergency crews are still trying to fix the problem, officials reported.

It is expected that the electricity will be connected in about an hour.
